We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Wills and Trusts Attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and administration, a commitment to providing compassionate legal counsel, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload in a professional and efficient manner.
What You'll Do:
- Draft, review, and execute wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their individual goals and family circumstances.
- Administer trusts and estates, including probate proceedings and asset distribution.
- Prepare and file documents with probate courts and relevant agencies.
- Counsel clients on tax implications related to estate planning, including gift and estate tax considerations.
- Represent clients in probate litigation matters when necessary.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files in compliance with firm policies.
- Manage deadlines and court filings with precision and timeliness.
- Stay current on changes in state and federal laws affecting estate planning and administration.
What We're Looking For:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in [State] in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, and/or probate law.
- Proficiency in drafting complex estate planning documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
